Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eric Kilgore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Douglas Veloso!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veloso fails with a takedown attempt.
Kilgore connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
A nice combination there by Kilgore.
Kilgore scores with a punch to the head.

Veloso throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kilgore was covering up waiting for the punch and Veloso finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kilgore wants to stand up but Veloso is controlling him.

Veloso thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Veloso drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Veloso jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Veloso postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kilgore is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Veloso, into his guard.

Veloso working for a triangle but Kilgore defends it easily.

Kilgore thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kilgore trying to control but Veloso is working from the bottom.

Veloso is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kilgore defends well.

Veloso is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kilgore drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kilgore jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kilgore avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kilgore is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Veloso is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Kilgore rolls with it to try and escape but Veloso cranks on the arm and Kilgore is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
