The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cain is trying hard to land a takedown here. Birdie sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Birdie. Cain does a little dance to reset his feet.
Birdie swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cain throws a shot to the body.
Cain on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Birdie lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Caidal Cain has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Birdie displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cain throws out the jab.
Birdie lands a jab to the nose.
Birdie stuffs the takedown.
Birdie throws a looping overhand right but Cain ducks down to avoid it.
Birdie misses with a looping right.
Birdie loads up on a big right hand but Cain slips the punch.
Birdie fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Birdie looks to land a combination but Cain avoids it well.
Birdie lunges at Cain with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Cain's hand.
Birdie uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cain.
Caidal Cain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Birdie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cain was well out of range. Poor timing from Birdie.
Putt Birdie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Birdie stuffs the takedown attempt from Cain. Cain gets slowly back to his feet.
Putt Birdie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Caidal Cain.
Cain looks gassed!
Birdie scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Cain shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Birdie tests Cain's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Birdie moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

That has opened up Caidal Cain's cut even more.
Birdie throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Birdie fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Birdie dips to his left and cracks Cain with an uppercut!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cain shoots in and bounces Birdie off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Cainis looking to pass into half guard but Birdie pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Birdie is in guard.

Cain looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Birdie knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cain on the ground.
Birdie has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cain is proving hard to escape from.

Birdie stands up from Cain's guard - Birdie perhaps looking for a knockout.
Birdie throws a jab when Cain was well out of range.
Birdie lands with an overhand left.

The cut above Caidal Cain's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Birdie is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cain.

Caidal Cain's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Caidal Cain's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
