Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Victor De Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Cunnigham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cunnigham has chosen Jeremy as his entrance music. Jeremy Cunnigham is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jeremy Cunnigham!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Santos throws a series of punches but Cunnigham avoids them all with ease.
A swing and a miss from De Santos.
Cunnigham avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
De Santos fails to land with a series of punches.
De Santos throws a nice looking combination but Cunnigham bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Cunnigham shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has De Santos pinned against the cage. De Santos gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cunnigham lands an overhand right.
Cunnigham thows a left - swing and a miss!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Santos stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and De Santos wants it to stay on the feet.

De Santos is defending against the submission attempts here by Cunnigham.

Cunnigham is stalling here. De Santos is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Cunnigham seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and De Santos has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Cunnigham has a hand on De Santos's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. De Santos takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

De Santos looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

De Santos is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Cunnigham is surviving well by controlling De Santos's body position as best he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


De Santos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cunnigham moves away.
Cunnigham fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
De Santos swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
De Santos goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Cunnigham has a takedown stuffed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cunnigham cracks a nice hook into De Santos's ribs.

Cunnigham throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. De Santos was covering up waiting for the punch and Cunnigham finishes the takedown easily into guard.
De Santos has Cunnigham pulled in close to control his posture.

Cunnigham wants to control from the top but De Santos keeps moving.
Cunnigham throws a strike but De Santos rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
De Santos forces his way into half guard.
Cunnigham moves into full guard.

Cunnigham is looking for a triangle but De Santos pushes his legs off easily.
De Santos won't allow Cunnigham to sweep him here.

Cunnigham looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Cunnigham has an active guard here but De Santos has managed to pass into half guard.
Cunnigham is breathing heavily.

Cunnigham is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but De Santos pulls his head out easily.
De Santos uses his free foot to push down on Cunnigham's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cunnigham.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

De Santos stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Cunnigham closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. De Santos did well to prevent Cunnigham getting side control.

De Santos has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cunnigham is working away from the top position though.
Cunnigham wants to take a breather but De Santos is having none of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cunnigham is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but De Santos frees his head nicely. Oh but Cunnigham has switched to an armbar! De Santos is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
