Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Duarte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and biggerthan abridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duarte drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

abridge has his foot on Duarte's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Duarte works his way back into a safe position though.
abridge really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Duarte. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Duarte looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks abridge with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Duarte has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Duarte cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

abridge is bucking up trying to escape but Duarte cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The cut above biggerthan abridge's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at biggerthan abridge's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
