Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dom Trills (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wilkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Wilkins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dom Trills!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Wilkins!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Trills fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wilkins sprawls well initially but Trills persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wilkins tries to get to full guard but Trills has control of the leg.
Trills is nestled in close to Wilkins, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Wilkins is holding on to half guard well.
It looks like Trills is going to stand back up.
Trills sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Wilkins defending well though.
Wilkins is trying to control but can't.
Trills content to control rather than advance.
Wilkins wants to get back to his feet.

Wilkins postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Trills is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wilkins, into his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Trills won't allow Wilkins to get back to his feet.

Wilkins lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Trills!

Wilkins is working for a guillotine from mount but Trills frees his head quite easily.

Wilkins is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Trills regains full guard. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Trills working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wilkins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wilkins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Trills shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wilkins manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Trills has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wilkins has gone for a leg lock! Trills slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wilkins's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Wilkins is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Trills sees it coming and defends easily.
Trills is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wilkins's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wilkins's back!
Wilkins is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wilkins trying to control the position but Trills manages to sink in the hooks.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Trills lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dom Trills dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Wilkins tries to clinch there but Trills circles away.

Trills throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wilkins was covering up waiting for the punch and Trills finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Trills wants to pass the guard but Wilkins is keeping the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wilkins wants to stand up but Trills is controlling him.
Trills wants to control from the top but Wilkins keeps moving.
Trills wanted to stand there but Wilkins had control of the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Trills accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Wilkins moves in looking to clinch but Trills pushes him off.

Wilkins doesn't manage to clinch there - Trills circles away.
Wilkins wants to clinch up but Trills keeps it at a distance.
Trills shoots in looking for a takedown. Wilkins tries to sprawl out of it but Trills keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wilkins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dom Trills. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wilkins lands a head kick. Trills smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Trills swats away the attempt to clinch by Wilkins.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Trills, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
