Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Janhino Suerto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Fenomeno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suerto comes to the cage accompanied by 50 Cent-Ready For War (Remix). Rafael Fenomeno will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fenomeno changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Suerto tries to avoid it but Fenomeno manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Suerto to the ground. Suerto escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fenomeno fails with a takedown attempt.

Suerto fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fenomeno sprawls well initially but Suerto persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Suerto prevents Fenomeno from standing back up.

Suerto wants to work for an arm triangle but Fenomeno is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Fenomeno is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Suerto takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Suerto seems to be working for a kimura but Fenomeno defends the submission attempt.

Suerto decides to return to a standing position.
Fenomeno fails with the takedown

and Suerto decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fenomeno's guard.
Janhino Suerto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafael Fenomeno.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Suerto makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Fenomeno tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fenomeno is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Suerto asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Suerto is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fenomeno knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Suerto is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Fenomeno looks calm but he's in trouble here. Suerto gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Fenomeno is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Suerto lets go of the hold and Fenomeno can pop his arm back in it's socket.
