The crowd seem to be enjoying Meis's choice of entrance music: marvelous time. Jared Hart could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marvin Meis's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hart checks a leg kick.

Meis looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Meis drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hart manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Meis has Hart in his guard.
Hart wants to stand but Meis is controlling his posture from full guard.

Meis uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Hart looks to land a combination but Meis avoids it well.
Meis looks for a takedown but Hart sprawls well.
Hart throws a nice looking combination but Meis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hart throws a series of punches but Meis avoids them all with ease.
Meis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hart but Hart pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Marvin Meis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hart keeps the fight on the outside.
Hart misses with a series of wild punches.
Hart misses with a few strikes there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Meis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hart but Hart pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jared Hart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marvin Meis.

Meis moves in looking to clinch but Hart pushes him off.
Hart circles away from the clinch attempt.
Meis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Meis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hart avoids it really well and circles away.

Meis shoots in looking for a takedown. Hart tries to sprawl out of it but Meis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hart manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Meis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hart throws a right and a left that both miss.
No joy there for Hart, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Meis throws a combination that misses
and Hart counters with a three punch combo that has Meis backing up. Meis nods at Hart to acknowledge the strikes.
Hart stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hart wants it to stay on the feet.
Hart stalks Meis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Meis's face. Meis staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Marvin Meis has been cut.
Meis swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hart counters with a left and a right... And another left! Meis is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
