Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Florian Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Punchdrunk Dentalplan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dentalplan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Dentalplan scores with a jab to the head.
Punchdrunk Dentalplan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dentalplan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dentalplan doesn't manage to clinch there - Mir circles away.

Mir shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dentalplan napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mir is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dentalplan has escaped the position, nice work there.

Mir thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Mir decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dentalplan's guard.

Mir postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dentalplan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mir, into his guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Mir decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dentalplan's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dentalplan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Mir drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dentalplan dives on top into guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Florian Mir will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Dentalplan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dentalplan misses with a double jab

and Mir counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Mir is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dentalplan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dentalplan has escaped and now he's on top!
Mir bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dentalplan's guard.

Mir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dentalplan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mir drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dentalplan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dentalplan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dentalplan!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dentalplan wants to control but Mir is keeping him busy.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dentalplan is staying tight to Mir's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Dentalplan is looking to take a break and control but Mir is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dentalplan wants to stand but Mir is controlling his arm.

Dentalplan decides to stand up, so the ref orders Mir to his feet.
Dentalplan thows a body shot but no joy.
Dentalplan misses with a straight right.
Dentalplan throws a hook but Mir avoids it easily.
Dentalplan closes the distance but Mir moves to the side

and Mir counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Mir drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dentalplan dives on top into guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Dentalplan wants to get up but he can't break Mir's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Dentalplan wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Mir is trying to work for a kimura but Dentalplan is defending well.

Mir is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Mir is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dentalplan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mir.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mir, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
