Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pepsi Max (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marv Statler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marv Statler will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Statler closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Max to the mat! Max manages to get full guard.
Statler in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Statler's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

It looks like Pepsi Max has been cut.
Statler throws a big right hand that misses.
Max is trying to keep Statler in close.
Max on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Max tries to get out of the position.
Statler postures up and lands a big shot to Max's brow.
Statler scoring with punches to the head and body.

Pepsi Max's cut is getting worse.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Statler throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Max works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Max looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Max manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Statler manages to get himself to full guard.
Max stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Statler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Statler is trying to control the position but Max postures up.
Max trying to control the position from guard on top but Statler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Marv Statler hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Statler fails with a takedown attempt.
Statler wants to clinch up but Max keeps it at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Max tries for a takedown but Statler circles away easily

and Statler counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Max!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Max regains half guard.
Statler sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Max defending well though.
Statler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Max. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Max regains full guard. Nicely done.
Statler throws and elbow that misses. Max uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Statler's guard. Nice move by Max!
Statler looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Max trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Max won't allow Statler to get back to his feet.

Statler utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Statler can't keep his opponent in guard - Max advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Statler pushes Max off, looking to escape but Max dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Statler is forced to tap! The fight is over!
