Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Richardson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santana Fritz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Santana Fritz!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richardson tries to score with a low kick but Fritz moves his leg out of the way.
Fritz blocks a head kick by Richardson.
Richardson ducks right into an uppercut from Fritz.
Richardson lands an overhand right.
Richardson misses with a head kick.
Richardson misses with a series of wild punches.
Fritz thows a body shot but no joy.
Richardson tries to clinch but Fritz moves out of range.
Richardson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Fritz misses with a combination
and Richardson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fritz cracks Richardson with an open hand slap.
Fritz misses with a straight left.
Richardson misses with a body shot.
Richardson tries to clinch up.
Richardson tries to close the distance and clinch but Fritz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Richardson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Richardson gets a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Fritz's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Fritz is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Richardson avoiding damage.
Fritz breaks the clinch.
Fritz lands a left and a right that send Richardson crashing to the mat, dazed. Fritz thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Richardson is rocked!
Fritz misses with a double jab
and Richardson counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Oh Richardson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Richardson blocks a head kick by Fritz.
Fritz scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Richardson doesn't seem bothered though.
Richardson is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Richardson loses concentration momentarily and Fritz pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Richardson crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Fritz finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Santana Fritz!
