Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stavros Drivas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masaru Midget (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drivas comes to the cage accompanied by Rob Hubbard - Commando. Midget has chosen MC Hammer - U Can't Touch This as his entrance music. Masaru Midget told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Midget misses with a low kick.

Midget throws a leg kick that misses.
A big right from Drivas misses.
No luck for Drivas with that takedown attempt.
Midget avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A nice leg kick lands there from Midget.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Midget lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Drivas shoots in for a takedown but Midget shows good takedown defense.
Midget fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Drivas is out of range.

It looks like Masaru Midget has been cut.
Drivas swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Midget connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Drivas to the floor! Midget dives in looking for the finish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Drivas gets full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Midget wants to stand but Drivas is controlling his posture from full guard.
Midget won't allow Drivas to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Drivas pulls Midget in to control the position.
Drivas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Drivas scores with a hook to the body. Midget takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Drivas takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Stavros Drivas's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Drivas stuns Midget with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Midget looks gassed!
Horrible takedown by Drivas or perhaps it was just good defense by Midget which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stavros Drivas. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Midget counters with an inside leg kick.
Drivas looks to land a right hand but Midget moved out of range.
Midget avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Drivas throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Midget was covering up waiting for the punch and Drivas finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Drivas lands a couple of digs.
Drivas in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Drivas's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Masaru Midget dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Jeez, Stavros Drivas's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Drivas is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Midget's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

and Midget counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Midget dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Drivas moves forwards but Midget connects with a nice, crisp jab.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Stavros Drivas's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
