PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lord Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Wilbon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Vader might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Darth Vader plays the Blues. Wilbon comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Momma Said Knock You Out - LL Cool J kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lord Vader!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Craig Wilbon!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilbon misses with a looping right.
Vader cracks Wilbon with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Craig Wilbon has been cut.
Wilbon throws a one two combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A jab lands there for Vader.
Wilbon tries to clinch but Vader moves out of range.
Vader swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Vader.
Vader looks to land a right hand but Wilbon moved out of range.
Wilbon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vader.
Vader scores with a nice head shot.
Wilbon takes one to the side of the head.
Vader is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Vader throws a lazy right hand but Wilbon sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Wilbon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vader really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Vader throws a leg kick that misses.
Vader misses with a straight left.
Vader swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Vader moves into range and connects with a jab.
Vader is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
A right-left combo lands from Wilbon.
Wilbon takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Craig Wilbon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wilbon takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wilbon on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Vader throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wilbon thows a left - swing and a miss!
Vader throws a right and a left that both miss.
Vader moves out of range as Wilbon strikes.
A shot to the liver by Vader. Beautiful body shot.
Wilbon looks gassed!
Wilbon takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

That has opened up Craig Wilbon's cut even more.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A punch lands to the side of Wilbon 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Wilbon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Vader looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A chopping leg kick lands by Vader.
Vader fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Wilbon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Vader lands with a shot to the body.
Vader works the jab nicely.

Wilbon is rocked!
Vader flashes Wilbon a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Wilbon's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Wilbon crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Vader punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lord Vader!
