PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wenydll Chael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crazy Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chael misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A head kick misses from Kane.
Chael throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kane's waist but Kane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chael off to one side.
Chael shoots for a takedown but Kane saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A slow jab from Kane misses its intended target.
Kane tries to clinch up.

Kane bucks Chael off and manages to get back to his feet!
Kane thows a body kick. Chael tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Chael is breathing heavily.
Kane scores with a kick to the midsection.

Chael tries to keep at a distance but Kane has taken the fight into the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kane manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Chael has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kane is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Kane is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Kane stands and steps away. Chael gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Chael misses with a few strikes there.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Kane closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Chael is working for takedown but Kane is calmly controlling the position for now.
Chael gets underhooks to prevent Kane's takedown attempt.
Kane misses with a punch to the body.
Chael jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kane walks away with a smile on his face. Chael gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Chael looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kane lands with a kick to the temple. Chael shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Chael doesn't manage to clinch there - Kane circles away.
Wenydll Chael seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kane shoots in and bounces Chael off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kane stands up and waves to Chael to follow him.

Kane decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kane stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Chael to get to his feet.

Kane shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chael is trying to defend but Kane finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Chael regains full guard. Nicely done.

Kane slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Let's hope that Kane has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kane is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Chael's half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kane in particular looking to stall.

Chael is staying active underneath Kane, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Crazy Kane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Kane wants to control from the top but Chael keeps moving.
Kane throws a strike but Chael rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Chael tries to stand but Kane is controlling from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kane is on top in guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Kane turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kane manages to end up in side control.
Kane is staying tight to Chael's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Kane decides to stand back up. Kane steps back and let's Chael get back to his feet.

Kane postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Chael looks a forlorn figure.
Wenydll Chael has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Crazy Kane comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kane has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
