Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaque Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaque Freeman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bruce, as that shot connected.
Freeman doesn't manage to clinch there - Bruce circles away.

Freeman drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Freeman won't allow Bruce to get back to his feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bruce can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Freeman stops Bruce from standing up.
Freeman is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Freeman is looking to work some ground and pound but Bruce has wrist control.

Freeman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bruce for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bruce is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Freeman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jaque Freeman.
Freeman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bruce lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Freeman circles away quickly and effectively.
Bruce swats away the attempt to clinch by Freeman.

Bruce tries to keep at a distance but Freeman has taken the fight into the clinch.

Freeman jumps into guard, dragging Bruce to the mat.
Bruce wanted to stand there but Freeman had control of the position.

Freeman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bruce is one step ahead there.
Bruce wants to stand and escape but instead Freeman has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Freeman wants to pass the guard but Bruce is keeping the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bruce wants to get back to his feet but Freeman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Bruce looking to hit a scissor sweep but Freeman is one step ahead there.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A jab from Bruce finds it's way through Freeman's defenses.
Freeman could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Freeman is breathing heavily.
Bruce lands with an overhand left.
Bruce slips under a jab.
Freeman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bruce's waist but Bruce gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Freeman off to one side.
Bruce cracks Freeman with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Bruce lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Jaque Freeman has been cut.
Bruce scores with a three punch combo!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bruce throws a one two combo.
Bruce lands with a big left! Freeman is wobbled badly! Bruce comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Freeman to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
