Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Brookins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Filho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brookins kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Good Morning - Kanye West. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brookins looks to land a combination but Filho avoids it well.
Brookins throws a series of punches but Filho avoids them all with ease.
Brookins lands a body shot.
Filho tries to clinch there but Brookins circles away.
Brookins swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Filho.

It looks like Junior Filho has been cut.
Filho regains half guard, as Brookins was trying to land strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brookins thows a huge punch but Filho dodges it nicely.
Filho is looking to control Brookins's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Filho avoid being mounted?

Filho wants to sweep but Brookins has passed to side control!
You can see the frustration on Filho's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Filho is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Filho wants to improve his position but Brookins is controlling well.

Brookins looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Filho with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Brookins stands up and beckons Filho to his feet.

Brookins comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Filho looks gassed!
Brookins cracks Filho with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Filho will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Brookins bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Filho! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brookins scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Filho doesn't seem bothered though.

Brookins lands with a right and another and another! Filho is in big trouble! Brookins lands again and this time it's lights out for Filho! A quality knockout there for Brookins.
