The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wilson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Wilson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lakay's efforts to push away.

Lakay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wilson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Lakay looks to land a combination. Wilson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lakay throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wilson sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Wilson.
Wilson works to advance to full mount. Lakay defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Lakay. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Wilson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Lakay has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Lakay!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lakay connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Wilson tumbling to the canvas! Lakay pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Wilson was done - good stoppage!
