Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Lytle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lytle comes into the arena with Light's Out blaring out of the sound system. St Pierre is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Territoire Hostile. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lytle shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says St Pierre as he avoids it easily.
Lytle shoots for a double leg takedown but St Pierre sprawls well. He's pushed Lytle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lytle is fighting off a takedown attempt but St Pierre is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lytle to the mat. Lytle regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lytle escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. St Pierre gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
St Pierre won't allow Lytle to sweep him here.
St Pierre must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Christopher Lytle.
I think St Pierre has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
