The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaretski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zaretski moves out of range of the strikes.
Zaretski fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Monteiro avoids it really well and circles away.
Zaretski thuds a left hand into Monteiro's body.
Monteiro cracks Zaretski with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Zaretski misses with a wild body shot.
Monteiro jabs Zaretski right on the nose. Zaretski blinks but takes it well.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Monteiro has cracked Zaretski with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Monteiro lands another huge swinging hook and Zaretski tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Zaretski, before Monteiro can land any more shots!
