And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kumpulainen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kumpulainen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rupponen is controlling an arm, preventing Kumpulainen from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Kumpulainen throws some wild stikes that Rupponen manages to avoid easily.
Kumpulainen goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Rupponen turns into him and now he's in Kumpulainen's guard.
Kumpulainen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rupponen manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kumpulainen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rupponen wants to sweep here but Kumpulainen controlling him for the moment.
Kumpulainen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Kumpulainen drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rupponen looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rupponen looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rupponen!
Kumpulainen tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kumpulainen is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Rupponen prevents Kumpulainen from improving his position.
Rupponen is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Rupponen wants to control but Kumpulainen is keeping him busy.
Kumpulainen gets full guard.
Kumpulainen wants to sweep but no luck.
Kumpulainen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kumpulainen is on top in guard.
Kumpulainen drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Kumpulainen seems to have locked his on tight now - Rupponen screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Kumpulainen, as he picks up the win!
