Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Johannsen!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johannsen looks to land a combination but LaRusso avoids it well.
Johannsen throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Johannsen connects with a single shot there.
LaRusso circles away from the clinch attempt.
LaRusso looks to land a body kick but Johannsen moved away.
Johannsen throws a head kick that misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from LaRusso.
Johannsen throws a leg kick which misses LaRusso's front leg but catches the back leg as LaRusso tries to avoid it.
LaRusso moves in looking to clinch but Johannsen pushes him off.
Johannsen closes the distance but LaRusso moves to the side

and LaRusso counters with a takedown into side control.
LaRusso throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Johannsen is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Sloppy strikes there by LaRusso.
You can see the frustration on Johannsen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

LaRusso throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
LaRusso scores with punches from side control.
Johannsen wants to get back to his feet but LaRusso drags him back down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johannsen gets back to half guard.
LaRusso not doing much here.
LaRusso missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

LaRusso trying to control the action but Johannsen is working from the bottom.
LaRusso has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Johannsen avoiding damage under a succession of punches from LaRusso.
LaRusso seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Johannsen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Johannsen wants to control but LaRusso is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and LaRusso holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
LaRusso tries to pull guard but Johannsen won't allow it.
Johannsen looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
LaRusso comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


It looks like Ryan Johannsen has been cut.
LaRusso using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Johannsen has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Johannsen throws a punch but it's blocked by LaRusso.
LaRusso lands an elbow inside.
Johannsen is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Johannsen is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from LaRusso.
LaRusso comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
LaRusso avoiding damage as Johannsen throws knees to the body.
LaRusso jumps guard but Johannsen stands there with LaRusso around his waist. LaRusso gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny LaRusso. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johannsen tries to break free but LaRusso pushes him back against the cage.
Johannsen is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
LaRusso creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Johannsen's defenses.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from LaRusso.

LaRusso breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

LaRusso has taken the fight to the clinch.

LaRusso escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
LaRusso is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johannsen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Johannsen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Johannsen wants to clinch but LaRusso slips to the side

and LaRusso counters by moving into the clinch.
LaRusso stalling the fight.
LaRusso connects with a knee to the head.

LaRusso's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Johannsen throws a nice outside leg kick.

LaRusso darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
LaRusso is breathing heavily.
LaRusso seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Johannsen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. LaRusso connects with a nice short shot to Johannsen's temple.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Johannsen is trying to stand.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with LaRusso in particular looking to stall.
LaRusso throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny LaRusso dominated that round.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and LaRusso counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
LaRusso throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Johannsen trying to get back to full guard but LaRusso takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
LaRusso thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
LaRusso lands a nice shot to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
LaRusso misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
LaRusso avoids the attempt from Johannsen to control.
Johannsen keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
LaRusso throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Johannsen because LaRusso loaded up on that one.
LaRusso putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
LaRusso drops a big elbow. That's hurt Johannsen! More shots from LaRusso and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny LaRusso!
