Bobichus comes to the cage accompanied by Cannibal Corpse - Hammer Smashed Face. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Duchovony.
Bobichus throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Duchovony's waist but Duchovony gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bobichus off to one side.
Duchovony scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Bobichus gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Duchovony decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bobichus is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bobichus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Duchovony gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Duchovony in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Bobichus wants to sweep here but Duchovony controlling him for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Duchovony accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Duchovony really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bobichus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bobichus shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Duchovony as he avoids it easily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Duchovony, as that shot connected.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Duchovony closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bobichus circles away.
Duchovony misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bobichus shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sponge Bobichus. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Horrible takedown by Duchovony or perhaps it was just good defense by Bobichus which made him look bad.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Duchovony scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bobichus doesn't seem bothered though.
Bobichus shoots in for a double leg but Duchovony sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Duchovony lands a nice shot that snaps Bobichus's head back.
Bobichus will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Duchovony connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

and Duchovony counters with a slapping leg kick.
Duchovony jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Duchovony stalks Bobichus and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bobichus's face. Bobichus staggers backwards, shaken.
Duchovony bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

and Duchovony connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bobichus doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Duchovony works over Bobichus's head and body with a nice combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bobichus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Duchovony sprawls well. Duchovony wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bobichus gets slowly back to his feet.

and Duchovony counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bobichus thinking.
Duchovony lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Duchovony.

Bobichus doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Duchovony cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Oh Bobichus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Duchovony sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Bobichus's defenses. It connects perfectly with Bobichus's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
