Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lincoln Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Guerrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guerrero is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Thunderstruck-AC/DC. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lincoln Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hector Guerrero!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones feints and then cracks Guerrero's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Guerrero down.

Jones closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Guerrero did well to prevent Jones getting side control.

Jones is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Jones's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Guerrero keeps working.

It looks like Hector Guerrero has been cut.
Jones swings for the body but Guerrero moves out of range.
Guerrero throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely.

Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.

Jones comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jones cracks Guerrero with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Jones moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Jones jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Jones tries to bum rush Guerrero with a series of wild strikes but Guerrero uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Jones ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

and Guerrero counters with a shoot takedown. Jones fights it but they end up in guard.
Guerrero won't allow Jones to get back to his feet.

Guerrero postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jones is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Guerrero, into his guard.

Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Guerrero sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Guerrero has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jones finds it's way round the side to connect with Guerrero's head.

Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Jones uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Guerrero has time to react.
Jones darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Both fighters circling a little - Jones finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Guerrero is trying to drag Jones to the mat but Jones just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
