Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Markku Osteri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Osteri comes to the cage accompanied by Rolling Stones - Symphaty For The Devil. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Markku Osteri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Walker!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osteri blocks a jab.
Osteri works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Osteri avoids a kick to the body.
Walker throws out a loose jab but Osteri uses good head movement to avoid it.
Some wild striking there from Osteri.
Osteri uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Walker.
Osteri misses with a hook.
Walker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Walker misses with a looping right.
Walker walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Osteri checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A telegraphed right hand from Walker misses the target.
Osteri steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Walker.
Walker throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Walker throws a lazy right hand but Osteri sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Osteri cracks Walker with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Walker misses the jab.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Walker enables Osteri to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Walker manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Walker is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Walker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Osteri can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Osteri is in close to Walker's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Walker preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Osteri not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Osteri working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Walker's head.

Osteri slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Walker is not content to let Osteri control the position.
Osteri throwing strikes but Walker manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Walker looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Osteri is avoiding damage well.

Osteri parries the strikes from Walker easily there. Walker is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Osteri to escape.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Osteri is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Walker throws a push kick but Osteri slaps the foot to one side.
Walker thows a body shot but no joy.
Walker connects with a crisp jab.
Osteri steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Walker.
Walker keeps the fight on the outside.
Walker looks to score with a jab to the body but Osteri is just out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Osteri checks a leg kick.
A jab from Walker does it's job there.
Walker waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Osteri.
Walker throws a jab but it's blocked by Osteri.
Jab, jab by Walker - just one landing.

Osteri gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Walker goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Osteri tries to pull guard but Walker holds him up against the cage and eventually Osteri drops back down to his feet.
Walker tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Walker can't find room to land a body shot as Osteri controls the action.
Walker prevents a takedown attempt there.

Osteri decides to pull guard.

Osteri is looking for a triangle but Walker pushes his legs off easily.
Walker is in close to Osteri's body, working some short punches and elbows.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Osteri is controlling Walker's posture.
Walker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Walker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Osteri is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Osteri has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Walker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Walker is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Walker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Markku Osteri dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Walker lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Osteri - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Walker!
