The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ruutu gets a takedown into half guard.
Ruutu is trying to control the action in half guard but Harvey is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Ruutu wants to pass the guard but Harvey is defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Harvey shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ruutu but Ruutu pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Ruutu feints and as Harvey raises his hands in defense, Ruutu changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ruutu stands and steps away. Harvey gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Ruutu comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Harvey throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ruutu was covering up waiting for the punch and Harvey finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Harvey slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Ruutu is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Ruutu is wriggling around but Harvey manages to pass to half guard.
Harvey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ruutu keeps working.

Harvey drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Harvey is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ruutu's shoulder. That is not cool.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Harvey closes the distance and clinches up with Ruutu, looking for a takedown. Harvey pushes Ruutu against the cage but Ruutu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ruutu swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Harvey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ruutu's guard.

Ruutu pushes Harvey off and gets back to his feet.
Ruutu just misses with a punch to the body.
Harvey avoids the body shot from Ruutu.
Harvey avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A combination from Ruutu does no damage.

Harvey gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Harvey has control of Ruutu's left arm, preventing Ruutu from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Harvey has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The fight stays on the outside here - Harvey looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Ruutu stalks Harvey and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Harvey's face. Harvey staggers backwards, shaken.
