Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Tar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and rafael borges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tar's entrance music is I Come From A Land Down Under. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Tar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, rafael borges!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tar drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

borges is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tar defends well.
Tar with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Tar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

borges is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are battling for position here. Tar manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
borges wants to stand and escape but instead Tar has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Tar takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
borges is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Tar scores with a couple of nice shots.
Tar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Tar slips a nice elbow through borges's hands, connecting with borges's forehead.
Tar wants to pass to mount but borges is defending the position.

Tar stands up out of the half guard.
borges fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tar manages to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Tar counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Tar wants to sweep here but borges controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Tar is adopting a defensive guard.
Jack Tar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Tar wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tar tries to clinch up but borges circles away and keeps his distance.

Tar throws a hook but borges avoids it easily.
