The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valquez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bricis lands with a thumping leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Valquez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Bricis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bricis connects with a good right hand that stumbles Valquez. Valquez circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Valquez tries to clinch there but Bricis circles away.
Valquez swings for the body but Bricis moves out of range.

Estoban Valquez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bricis throws the left hand but Valquez avoids the punch easily.
Bricis lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Bricis throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Valquez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Bricis thows a body shot but no joy.

Valquez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bricis.

Bricis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Valquez sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Valquez loses concentration momentarily and Bricis pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Valquez crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Bricis finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
