Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between J Blunts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blunts's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bob Marley - Three Little Birds. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blunts throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rua stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rua lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Blunts backs up against the cage.
Blunts fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rua manages to avoid it.
Rua misses with a hook.
A jab lands there for Blunts.
Rua looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Rua throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rua throws the left hand but Blunts avoids the punch easily.
Alex Rua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blunts closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Rua is refusing to be controlled, as Blunts sits in half guard.
Blunts misses with a head shot. Rua uses the momentum to regain guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rua tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blunts paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rua throws a shot from downtown. Blunts moves away and avoids it.

Rua is keen to just control but Blunts is a slippery customer.

Blunts takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Blunts wants to control but Rua is keeping him busy.

Rua manages to escape and get back to his feet!

A close second round but Alex Rua will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Blunts lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Blunts dips to his left and cracks Rua with an uppercut!
Blunts thows a body shot but no joy.
Blunts moves away from the strike by Rua.
