Rain feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rain shoots in looking for a takedown. Salcedo tries to sprawl out of it but Rain keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Salcedo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rain takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rain steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Salcedo.
Salcedo moves in looking to clinch but Rain pushes him off.

Salcedo lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Rain sprawling to the canvas. Salcedo follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Rain hang on?

It looks like Prolly Rain has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Salcedo lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Rain quite badly. Rain pulls Salcedo in close trying to recover. Salcedo postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Rain on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Rain doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Oscar Salcedo!
