Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksander Malyshev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aleksander Malyshev!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins cracks Malyshev with a right hand to the side of the head.
Malyshev bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hawkins displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Malyshev throws out the jab.
Malyshev looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hawkins is fending him off so far but Malyshev persists. Nope, Hawkins circles away and we're back to standing.
Malyshev has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Malyshev there as he acknowledges the shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malyshev takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Malyshev displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hawkins throws out the jab.
Hawkins cracks Malyshev with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Malyshev falls to his knees and Hawkins doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jason Hawkins!
