Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luis Caldas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ondra The Hammerfist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caldas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Caldas drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Caldas jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The Hammerfist is trying to keep Caldas in close.
Caldas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The Hammerfist swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The Hammerfist trying to keep a closed guard but Caldas is proving a slippery customer.
Caldas drops back looking for a leg! The Hammerfist is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and The Hammerfist manages to kick Caldas off! Caldas jumps back into The Hammerfist's guard.
The Hammerfist wants to hit a switch here but Caldas passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for The Hammerfist there!
Caldas jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… The Hammerfist is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by The Hammerfist and Caldas has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Caldas is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, The Hammerfist has escaped the position, nice work there.

Caldas has hold of The Hammerfist's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! The Hammerfist tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Caldas cranks the arm and The Hammerfist screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from The Hammerfist, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
