The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cadwallader will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cadwallader misses with a two punch combination.

Cadwallader shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Mashburn is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Cadwallader is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Mashburn can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Cadwallader goes for an armbar but Mashburn turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mashburn.
Cadwallader will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mashburn working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Mashburn seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Mashburn throws and elbow that misses. Cadwallader uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mashburn's guard. Nice move by Cadwallader!

Cadwallader moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Cadwallader lands with a big left! Mashburn is wobbled badly! Cadwallader comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Mashburn to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
