Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Terry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryu Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terry comes to the ring accompanied by england belongs to me. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryu Sakurai!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terry fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sakurai manages to avoid it.
An inside leg kick lands from Terry.
Sakurai throws a right and a left that Terry avoids nicely.
Terry thows a body shot but no joy.
Terry scores with the left hand. Sakurai knows he should have avoided that one.
Terry on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Sakurai fails to land the takedown.
Sakurai throws a shot to the body.
Terry misses with a wild body shot.
Sakurai has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Terry finds it's way round the side to connect with Sakurai's head.

Sakurai throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Terry's waist but Terry gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sakurai off to one side.

Sakurai closes the distance and clinches up with Terry, looking for a takedown. Sakurai pushes Terry against the ropes but Terry circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Terry lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sakurai backs up against the ropes.

That kick from Terry tenderised Sakurai's leg. Sakurai is trying to keep his angry face on.
Terry throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Sakurai gets a takedown into half guard.
Terry has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sakurai is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Terry tries to roll over but Sakurai keeps him under control.
Sakurai tries to pass to full mount but Terry defends it.
Sakurai is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Sakurai counters with a single leg into guard. Terry didn't expect that.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sakurai wants to hit a switch here but Terry passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Sakurai there!

Sakurai sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Daniel Terry has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Sakurai shoots in and drives through. Terry sprawls well.
Terry is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sakurai.

Sakurai closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Terry did well to prevent Sakurai getting side control.
Terry is not content to let Sakurai control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Ryu Sakurai will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Sakurai stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Terry.
Terry looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Sakurai misses with a few strikes there.
Terry bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Terry goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Terry throws the kick towards the body but Sakurai avoids it.
Sakurai ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Sakurai counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Terry, right into the meat.

Terry lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Sakurai looks for a takedown but Terry sprawls well.

Sakurai's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Terry connects with an inside leg kick.
A nice combination there by Sakurai.
Terry walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Terry fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sakurai.

Sakurai will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Sakurai takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Terry tries to land a front kick but Sakurai steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Sakurai has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Terry.

Terry throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sakurai stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Sakurai uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Terry.
Sakurai looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Terry is fending him off so far but Sakurai persists. Nope, Terry circles away and we're back to standing.

Sakurai postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Sakurai laying and praying for a moment but Terry takes advantage and regains half guard.
Sakurai is trying to control the action in half guard but Terry is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
