Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Patryk Fajerwerka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aruneru Hero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Patryk Fajerwerka !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aruneru Hero!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fajerwerka drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Fajerwerka drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fajerwerka jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hero wants to get back to his feet but Fajerwerka is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Fajerwerka content to stall in guard here.

Fajerwerka is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hero is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Hero keeping full guard, as Fajerwerka tries to pass.
Fajerwerka is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Fajerwerka prevents Hero from getting back to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Fajerwerka looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hero is fending him off so far but Fajerwerka persists. Nope, Hero circles away and we're back to standing.
Hero fails in his attempt to clinch.

Fajerwerka closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hero circles away.
Fajerwerka slaps away a takedown attempt from Hero, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hero throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hero has his takedown stuffed

and Fajerwerka decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hero's guard.
Hero looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fajerwerka is one step ahead there.
Fajerwerka is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Fajerwerka works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Hero looks gassed!
Fajerwerka is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Fajerwerka is looking for a kimura but Hero is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fajerwerka to get the leverage.
Fajerwerka seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hero does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Patryk Fajerwerka .
Fajerwerka shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hero sprawls well. Hero wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fajerwerka gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Patryk Fajerwerka . That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hero tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Hero is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Fajerwerka tightens his grip and picks Hero up, before dumping him to the ground. Hero manages to land in guard.
Fajerwerka controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Fajerwerka trying to control the position from guard on top but Hero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hero tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hero striking off his back but it's not causing Fajerwerka any problems.
Fajerwerka advances to half guard.
Fajerwerka takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Fajerwerka is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hero sees it coming and defends easily.
Fajerwerka looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Fajerwerka stalling away here and it's allowed Hero to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Patryk Fajerwerka .
Fajerwerka avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hero keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hero throws a leg kick which misses Fajerwerka 's front leg but catches the back leg as Fajerwerka tries to avoid it.
Fajerwerka moves forwards but Hero connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Hero pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fajerwerka shoots in for a takedown but Hero shows good takedown defense.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Patryk Fajerwerka dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Hero rushes Fajerwerka and presses him up against the cage.
Fajerwerka prevents a body shot from Hero.
Hero is working for takedown but Fajerwerka is calmly controlling the position for now.
Knees to the body from Hero.
Hero gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Fajerwerka .
Hero taking a breather.
Hero jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fajerwerka walks away with a smile on his face. Hero gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Aruneru Hero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fajerwerka .

Fajerwerka seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fajerwerka seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hero for as long as he can get away with.

Fajerwerka is trying for a kimura here. Hero looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Fajerwerka wins by kimura!
