PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Saari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mister Spock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saari's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, MACABRE - Serial Killer. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spock defending well as Saari loads up on a big left hand.
Spock is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Saari.
A big right from Saari misses.
Spock scoring well with a low kick there.
Saari takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Spock slips under a jab.
Saari fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Spock moves out of range as Saari strikes.
Henry Saari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A chopping leg kick lands by Spock.
Spock throws a looping overhand right but Saari ducks down to avoid it.
Saari connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Spock misses with a looping right.
Spock steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Saari.
Saari uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Spock slips a straight right by Saari.
Saari missing with a left hand there. Spock was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Saari thows a left - swing and a miss!

That's one minute gone in the round.
A slow jab from Saari misses its intended target.
Spock turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Good leg kick by Spock there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Saari is breathing heavily.
Saari misses with a hook. Spock ducked under it nicely.
Spock dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Spock closes the distance and clinches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Spock misses with a punch on the inside.
Spock lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Saari wants to break the clinch but can't.
Saari can't break the clinch.
Spock pushes Saari back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Spock misses with some punches.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Spock creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Spock lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Spock lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Saari to his knees! Spock keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
