The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lombardi tries to bum rush Drake with a series of wild strikes but Drake uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lombardi walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Lombardi lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Drake backs up against the ropes.
Lombardi shoots in and drives through. Drake sprawls well.
Lombardi throws a big shot that misses.
Lombardi misses with the combination.
Lombardi fails to land the takedown.

Lombardi shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Drake is trying to defend but Lombardi finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Lombardi is looking to work some ground and pound but Drake has wrist control.

Drake is edging up against the ropes. He's using the ropes to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Drake looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Drake bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Drake isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lombardi stacks Drake on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lombardi!
Lombardi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
