Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alberto Aquilani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asgeir Borgermoen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aquilani closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Borgermoen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Aquilani's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Aquilani's back!
Borgermoen looking to break Aquilani's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Aquilani remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Borgermoen will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Borgermoen is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Aquilani knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Aquilani for a finish.
Aquilani manages to reverse the position and now he's in Borgermoen's guard. Nice work there by Aquilani.
Aquilani drops back looking for a leg! Borgermoen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Borgermoen manages to kick Aquilani off! Aquilani jumps back into Borgermoen's guard.
Borgermoen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Aquilani throws a big right hand that misses.
Aquilani postures up in Borgermoen's guard and throws a big left but Borgermoen blocks it.
Aquilani drops back, looking for a kneebar! Borgermoen looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Borgermoen looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Borgermoen!

Borgermoen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Aquilani, who protects the arm well.
Aquilani gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Aquilani manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Aquilani is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Borgermoen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aquilani has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Borgermoen has managed to get both his arms back between Aquilani's legs - danger averted.

and Aquilani counters with a nice double leg into side control. Borgermoen won't be happy with that.

Aquilani drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Aquilani seems to have locked his on tight now - Borgermoen screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Aquilani, as he picks up the win!
