Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kevin Van Roosmalen!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Roosmalen throws a leg kick but Kashi sees it coming and moves out of range.

Van Roosmalen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Van Roosmalen decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Van Roosmalen tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Van Roosmalen wants to control the pace but Kashi is squirming around nicely.
Van Roosmalen is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Kashi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Van Roosmalen just stands there and leans against the cage.

Kashi ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kashi no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Kashi wants to improve his position but instead Van Roosmalen has moved into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kashi manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Kashi pushes Van Roosmalen off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Van Roosmalen has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Van Roosmalen there as he acknowledges the shot.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kashi.

Kashi has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Van Roosmalen uses from the top position.

Van Roosmalen is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kashi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Van Roosmalen to the mat. Van Roosmalen regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Kashiis looking to pass into half guard but Van Roosmalen pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Van Roosmalen is in guard.
Kashi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Van Roosmalen's guard.
Kashi looking to sit in guard and control but Van Roosmalen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Van Roosmalen tries to close the distance and clinch but Kashi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Van Roosmalen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Van Roosmalen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kashi tries to avoid it but Van Roosmalen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kashi to the ground. Kashi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kashi wants to get back to his feet but Van Roosmalen drags him back down.
Van Roosmalen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kashi keeps working.

Kashi is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Van Roosmalen is in big trouble! Kashi is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Van Roosmalen. Poor guy.
