The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michima tries to clinch up but Sparger circles away and keeps his distance.
Michima misses with a few strikes there.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Michima fails with a takedown attempt.
Michima moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
It looks like Kazuya Michima has been cut.
Sparger changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Michima tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sparger swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Michima shoots in but no luck this time.
A shot to the liver by Sparger. Beautiful body shot.
Michima is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sparger drops Michima with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Michima looks back up at him and smiles so Sparger waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Michima is rocked!
Sparger drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Michima's head, knocking him out cold! Sparger is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rob Sparger!
