The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
malu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
BROOKINS throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
BROOKINS looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? malu is fending him off so far but BROOKINS persists. Nope, malu circles away and we're back to standing.
malu keeps the fight on the outside.
A head kick by BROOKINS misses
and malu counters with a series of strikes. BROOKINS will be more careful next time no doubt.
BROOKINS shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. malu defends it nicely.
BROOKINS is trying hard to land a takedown here. malu sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
keka malu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of DYLAN BROOKINS.
malu lands with a big left! BROOKINS is wobbled badly! malu comes in with a flurry of punches and drops BROOKINS to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
