Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ruarc Bowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Jordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ruarc Bowell!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Jordon!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jordon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bowell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jordon circles away.
Jordon throws a sloppy head kick and Bowell moves out of range easily.
Jordon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jordon feints and then cracks Bowell's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bowell down.
Bowell fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jordon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruarc Bowell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jordon throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bowell's head.
Dan Jordon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Ruarc Bowell has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bowell wants to control the pace but Jordon is squirming around nicely.

Jordon sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Bowell is looking for a kimura but Jordon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bowell to get the leverage.

Bowell is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jordon is just riding it out for now. Bowell eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jordon throws a right hand that Bowell ducks under and follows up with a left that Bowell also avoids with ease.
Bowell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jordon as he jumps to the side.
Bowell shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Jordon throws a series of punches but Bowell moves out of range.
Bowell is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Bowell closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bowell lands in his opponent's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bowell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jordon as he avoids it easily.

Jordon finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Jordon throws a jab but it's blocked by Bowell.
Jordon throws a solid leg kick but Bowell takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jordon.
