PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lance Bundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rahm Emanuel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Lance Bundy has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Lance Bundy seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emanuel lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Bundy gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Emanuel to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Emanuel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bundy's guard.

Emanuel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Emanuel wants to control from the top but Bundy keeps moving.

Bundy has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Emanuel off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Emanuel lands a really nice looking cross but Bundy seems unphased.
Bundy shoots in looking for a takedown. Emanuel tries to sprawl out of it but Bundy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Emanuel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lance Bundy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Emanuel is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bundy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

You can see the frustration on Bundy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Emanuel creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bundy sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Emanuel decides to stand back up. Emanuel steps back and let's Bundy get back to his feet.

Emanuel works over Bundy's head and body with a nice combination.
Emanuel throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bundy on the side of the head.
Emanuel shoots for a double leg takedown but Bundy sprawls well. He's pushed Emanuel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Emanuel changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bundy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bundy is trying to control Emanuel's posture but Emanuel avoids it.

Emanuel is working to tighten is grip on Bundy's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bundy has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Emanuel is really squeezing tight and eventually Bundy passes out! Emanuel breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
