The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puckley stuffs the takedown attempt from Vazquez. Vazquez gets slowly back to his feet.
Vazquez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Puckley.
Puckley misses with an uppercut.
Puckley tries to clinch up but Vazquez circles away and keeps his distance.
Vazquez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Puckley sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Vazquez dives in and grabs Puckley's left leg, looking for a takedown. Puckley pushes down on Vazquez's head and hops out.
Beter Puckley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Javier Vazquez.

Puckley catches Vazquez napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Vazquez to the canvas!

Puckley closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Vazquez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Puckley connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Beter Puckley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vazquez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Vazquez tries to clinch up but Puckley circles away and keeps his distance.
Puckley throws a hook but Vazquez blocks it.

Puckley bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Vazquez! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Puckley throws a strike but Vazquez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Puckley manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Vazquez tries to hold on but Puckley pushes him away.
Vazquez is squirming around, avoiding Puckley's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Puckley is really struggling to control Vazquez but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Vazquez is looking to get to half guard.
Puckley tries to control but Vazquez wriggling away.

Vazquez tries to lock up and control but Puckley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Vazquez takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Puckley drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Vazquez's head, knocking him out cold! Puckley is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
