The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Le Fondre is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Van Defoe's half guard.
Van Defoe is trying to control but can't.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Van Defoe should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
