Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Narima Koga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ikuhisa Minowaman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Narima Koga has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Narima Koga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ikuhisa Minowaman!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Minowaman takes the fight into the clinch.
Koga looking to throw knees to the head but Minowaman is blocking nicely.
Koga misses with a knee to the head.
Koga tries to land a knee to the head but Minowaman blocks with his arms.
Koga is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Minowaman is defending well for now.

Minowaman has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Koga clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Minowaman is looking to control Koga's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Minowaman avoid being mounted?

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Minowaman tries to get to full guard but Koga has control of the leg.

Koga decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

and Minowaman counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Minowaman won't allow Koga to get back to his feet.
Minowaman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Koga swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Koga is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ikuhisa Minowaman wasn't active enough on the ground.
Koga tries to clinch but Minowaman moves away

and Minowaman counters with a single leg into guard. Koga didn't expect that.

Minowaman drops back, looking for a kneebar! Koga looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Koga looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Koga!

Koga stands up and we're back to a striking position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ikuhisa Minowaman dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Minowaman. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Minowaman gets through Koga's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Koga slows down the pace here.

Minowaman tightens his grip and picks Koga up, before dumping him to the ground. Koga manages to land in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Minowaman throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Koga escapes and throws Minowaman's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Minowaman can't do much from the bottom here.
Minowaman sneaks back into half guard.

Koga tries to stand and escape but Minowaman is controlling the position.
Minowaman is trying to get back to full guard.

Minowaman has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Koga escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Koga!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Koga throws a nice looking combination but Minowaman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Minowaman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Koga swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Minowaman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ikuhisa Minowaman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Koga's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Koga is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

and Minowaman counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Minowaman looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Koga wants to get back to his feet.

Ikuhisa Minowaman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Minowaman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
