Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joker Goth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges StPierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). StPierre has chosen Saliva - Click Click Boom as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joker Goth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Georges StPierre!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goth bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Goth wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by StPierre, who protects the arm well.
Goth landing strikes.
Goth scores with punches from side control.
Goth lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear StPierre down.
StPierre regains half guard.

Goth is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, StPierre has managed to free his arm - good work.
StPierre trying to control here.

Goth wants to work for an arm triangle but StPierre is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
StPierre is looking to control Goth's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can StPierre avoid being mounted?

That's one minute gone in the round.
Goth missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
StPierre wants to get back to his feet.
StPierre wants to control but Goth is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Goth tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Goth has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Goth is breathing heavily.

Goth is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, StPierre has escaped the position, nice work there.

Goth tries for a kimura but StPierre is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
StPierre tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
StPierre struggling a bit here.

Goth stands up and beckons StPierre to his feet.
StPierre doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Goth decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in StPierre's guard.
StPierre preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

StPierre is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Goth is aware though and is defending well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
StPierre is trying to keep Goth in close.
Goth throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as StPierre works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Goth throwing strikes from guard but StPierre blocks nicely.

Goth decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on StPierre, up you get!
StPierre tries for a takedown but Goth circles away easily

and Goth counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Goth cracks StPierre with a solid left hand.
StPierre wants to get back to his feet but Goth is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Goth stands up from StPierre's guard - Goth perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Goth shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Goth is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! StPierre is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! StPierre has escaped and now he's on top!
StPierre throwing strikes from guard but Goth blocks nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
StPierre wants to control from the top but Goth keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joker Goth dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Goth shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. StPierre is trying to defend but Goth finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Goth really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
StPierre is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Goth is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
StPierre won't allow Goth to pass to mount.
Goth is working hard here to advance position.

Goth is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so StPierre is just riding it out for now. Goth eventually gives up the hold.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
StPierre trying to control here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
StPierre might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Goth kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Goth shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. StPierre defends it nicely.
Goth circles away from the clinch attempt.
Goth avoids a kick to the body.
StPierre throws a sloppy head kick and Goth moves out of range easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
StPierre wants to clinch.

Goth feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Goth will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Goth stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. StPierre swivels though and keeps the full guard.
StPierre tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Joker Goth overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Goth is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but StPierre has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Goth is looking to defend but StPierre has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Goth! StPierre pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Goth taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Georges StPierre!
