Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ming T Chau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milo Papi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chau comes to the cage accompanied by PRIDE FC opening theme music. Papi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. IZ ON kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papi avoids the body shot from Chau.
Papi tries to move into range but Chau moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Chau feints and as Papi raises his hands in defense, Chau changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Papi is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Papi shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Papi looks to score with a jab to the body but Chau is just out of range.
Chau shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Papi as he jumps to the side.

Papi throws a left that rocks Chau and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Papi dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Chau regain composure!
Papi is looking to take a break and control but Chau is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Papi misses with a head shot. Chau uses the momentum to regain guard.

Chau wriggles free and stands up.
Papi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Chau counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Papi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Chau throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Papi was covering up waiting for the punch and Chau finishes the takedown easily into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Papi might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Chau kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Milo Papi.
Chau changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Papi tries to avoid it but Chau manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Papi to the ground. Papi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Chau fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Papi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Chau has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Papi moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

and Chau counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Papi's guard now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Papi manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
