The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escarpe tries for a takedown but Hamedovic sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Escarpe takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Escarpe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hamedovic defends it nicely.
Escarpe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hamedovic's waist but Hamedovic gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Escarpe off to one side.
Aziz Hamedovic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daryl Escarpe.

Hamedovic bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Escarpe closes the distance and clinches up with Hamedovic, looking for a takedown. Escarpe pushes Hamedovic against the cage but Hamedovic circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Escarpe moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hamedovic is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Escarpe.
