The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans throws a right and a left that Putin avoids nicely.
Left hook, right uppercut from Putin.
Putin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Evans.
Putin swats away the attempt to clinch by Evans.
Evans is looking to clinch.
Evans wants to clinch up but Putin keeps it at a distance.
Putin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Evans.
Evans moves in looking to clinch but Putin pushes him off.

Evans drives through and clinches with Putin against the cage.

Evans manages to break the clinch.
Putin catches Evans with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Evans misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Evans misses with a series of wild punches.

Evans feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Putin sprawling to the canvas! Putin rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Evans finish him?!

It looks like Danil Putin has been cut.
Putin looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Evans misses with a double jab
and Putin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Putin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Evans circles away quickly and effectively.
Jab by Putin.
Evans throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Evans will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Evans uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Putin.

Evans rushes Putin and presses him up against the cage.
Putin is trying to force a seperation but Evans has the dominant position.
Putin working hard to break the clinch.

Evans breaks from the clinch.

Evans gets a clinch.

Evans breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Putin smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Evans takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Evans moves into the clinch successfully.

Evans pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Putin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Putin there as he acknowledges the shot.

Evans closes the distance and clinches.

Evans manages to break the clinch.
Putin has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Evans throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Evans tries to close the distance and clinch but Putin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Evans fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ravshan Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Evans tries to clinch but Putin moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Evans lands a big right hand that sends Putin crashing to the mat! Evans stays standing though and waves Putin back to his feet!

Putin is rocked!

That has opened up Danil Putin's cut even more.

Evans moves into range and clinches up with Putin.
Putin is still on wobbly legs! Can Evans finish him?

Evans breaks from the clinch.
Evans is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Putin hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
