The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Smith. Poulter does a little dance to reset his feet.
Smith takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Poulter - that will leave a mark!
Smith scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Smith misses with a looping left.
Poulter throws a nice inside leg kick.
Smith slips under a jab.
Poulter connects with an inside leg kick.
Poulter lands a front kick.
Paul Poulter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Poulter lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Smith sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Poulter bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Poulter swings for the body but Smith moves out of range.
Poulter connects with a high kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Poulter.
A nice inside leg kick there by Poulter. That's going to slow Smith down.
Smith walks forward, straight into a front kick from Poulter.
Smith sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Poulter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Smith.

Poulter scores with a jab. Smith acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Poulter throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Poulter thows a body kick. Smith tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Poulter lands a head kick. Smith smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Poulter scores with a push kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Poulter thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Smith if he has to take too many more of those.
Poulter lands a leg kick that knocks Smith off balance momentarily.
Poulter lands a big head kick that sends Smith to the canvas! Poulter follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
