Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rex Munroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rex Munroe could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to William Harrison's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Rex Munroe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, William Harrison!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harrison bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Harrison postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Harrison trying to control the position but Munroe is working away.
Harrison content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Harrison working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Harrison looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Harrison wants to lay and pray for a moment but Munroe keeps working.
Harrison postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Harrison tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Harrison has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Munroe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harrison on the ground.

Munroe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Harrison goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Munroe has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Harrison but great work by Munroe.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Harrison shoots in for a takedown but Munroe shows good takedown defense.

Munroe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Harrison looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Munroe ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Horrible takedown by Harrison or perhaps it was just good defense by Munroe which made him look bad.
Munroe dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Munroe throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Harrison on the side of the head.

Munroe is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Munroe just misses with a punch to the body.

Harrison takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Munroe is looking to wear down Harrison with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Munroe lands with a shot to the body.

William Harrison is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

That has opened up William Harrison's cut even more.

Harrison shoots in but no luck this time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Munroe lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Harrison backs up against the cage.

William Harrison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Munroe stalks Harrison and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Harrison's face. Harrison staggers backwards, shaken.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Harrison takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Munroe throws a right and a left that both miss.
Harrison gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Harrison drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Munroe manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Harrison has Munroe in his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rex Munroe.
I think Munroe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
